I discovered Food Works during the pandemic. A time when everything felt uncertain and disconnected. The warehouse market at Handsworth quickly became a constant in my life. It was the only place where I felt truly safe. More than that, it became a space where I met people and formed real friendships.
When the Sharrow cafe opened, it naturally became our daily lunch spot. Since day one, my friends and I have come here every day to enjoy delicious meals together. It’s more than just a cafe. It’s a place that brings us together. The cafe is an important part of the community, and we always enjoy the amazing atmosphere, the great food, and the friendly faces that welcome us every day.
I truly support all the work you do, and I look forward every week to the patron box. It always brings something new, inspiring creativity and sparking fresh ideas on what to make that week. The food, the thought behind it, and the presentation all makes a difference.
