We’re passionate about sharing culinary skills, and our recent choux pastry workshop with the brilliant Simon was no exception! Even if you weren’t able to join us, the feedback (and the photos!) from our participants from our participants shows what a brilliant evening it was.

Simon led participants through the fine art of choux pastry, offering a perfect blend of hands-on practice and theory. Jo raved about the excellent tutorial and demonstration, packed with helpful tips and advice that ensured everyone left with successful bakes.

One participant particularly enjoyed Simon’s insights into the science behind making choux pastry, as well as his practical guidance on the do’s and don’ts. There was also the unexpected bonus of learning to make Swiss meringue, and even getting to use a blow torch!

They crafted their very own eclairs, and had ample time to practice their new skills. The result? Everyone left full of pastry, cream, and a desire to make profiteroles! They also left with a fantastic new skill under their belt.

It’s clear that Simon’s inclusive teaching style made the session both fun and useful. We’re thrilled to hear that people are already keen to book onto future pastry classes and other workshops focused on cooking techniques.

A huge thank you to Simon for running this fantastic workshop, and to everyone who joined us and shared their experiences.
