We are absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news. From next month, Food Works is officially partnering with Eurosafe! Here’s a sneak peek of some of the exciting ideas we are exploring together:
- Skill-sharing: Eurosafe are a company filled with highly skilled engineers. They will be offering their specialist skills to help build, maintain and improve our own infrastructure and maintain/expand on school projects, volunteering their time and resources where required.
- Growing food in local schools: Eurosafe employees will also be using their expertise to help build beds and planters, creating spaces where the next generation can learn to love sustainable food. Alongside the practical help they will also provide some financial support for us to provide plants and skills at further schools across South Yorkshire.
- Sustainable catering: Eurosafe employees will be accessing our Just Meals for free, with costs covered by the Eurosafe, via an office freezer with our ready meals created using surplus food stock.
- Future Projects: Sponsoring a vehicle redistributing 200 tonnes of surplus food, or direct contributions. Sustainable catering within the onsite Training Centre at Eurosafe Training & PPE Ltd – where visitors to the Eurosafe Training Centre will hopefully be enjoying our food over lunch and receiving information leaflets to help spread awareness of The Food Works campaigns.
This is a fantastic example of how businesses in the city can help us build a bigger table. If everyone puts some of their time, skills or resources into building a better planet, we can have a world that is abundant and sustainable.
Rolling up our sleeves together
“When I first met Rene and heard about Food Works, I was immediately struck by his passion and enthusiasm for what he and the team are achieving. After seeing the project first-hand and sharing lunch together in the Sharrow cafe, it quickly became clear that this was an organisation we wanted to support.
We actively encourage our employees to get involved in community projects during work time, and with many of our team having children in local schools, supporting Food Works’ education and growing initiatives felt like the perfect fit. It allows us to combine our engineering skills, our time and our enthusiasm to create something that will benefit the community for years to come.
For us, this partnership is about far more than financial support. The best partnerships aren’t built on donations alone – they’re built on people rolling up their sleeves together. That’s exactly what we intend to do with Food Works. If we can combine our time, expertise and resources to make a positive difference, then that’s something we’re incredibly proud to be part of.” – Gavin Ellis, Group CEO
Rene Meijer, CEO of Food Works said:
“A huge thank you to Gavin and the entire Eurosafe team for choosing to champion Food Works as part of their upcoming social initiatives. We are incredibly proud to feature their logo on our corporate partners page and cannot wait to share the amazing things we achieve together over the next year”.
